ABOUT US
As the first STEM early childcare centre in Trinidad, we are, first and foremost, the hub for deeper thinking and learning for our youngest learners.
We focus on what we call the 5 C's of Tinkergarden: Caring, Critical Thinking, Cooperation, Communication, and Creativity.
This framework helps us to provide a caring and nurturing atmosphere for children, in which children feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and think outside the box.
Using research-based progressive practices and the Ministry of Education's curriculum, we give your child the opportunity to begin their educational careers on the right path.
STEM Education
We are on the cutting-edge of education. STEM fields are internationally recognized as the most important areas needed for future success.
At Tinkergarden we are the experts in STEM education at the early childcare level in Trinidad, providing our own Canadian expertise for your child's success.
Our Reggio-Inspired Teaching Approach
The Reggio Emilia approach holds an image of children as naturally curious, competent, and full of wonder and knowledge.
From birth, children immediately begin searching for understanding, and it is their experiences that teach them what kind of world they live in.
We truly believe that Tinkergarden can make the world a safer, kinder place through the hard work of raising children right.
Everyday the children explore, discover, and create. With our curriculum the children go outside to look at insects, climb and dig in the dirt, design and build bridges, conduct science experiments, help to garden and grow food, and most of all foster their curiosity, creativity, and compassion.
